Dr. Michael J. Palladino, ND

Michael J. Palladino, ND of Restoration Healthcare, Inc., is a Naturopathic Doctor (ND) committed to assessing, diagnosing, and treating patients who have complex chronic illnesses. Many of his patients have seen multiple specialists without full resolution of their condition(s), so Dr. Palladino plays the role of medical detective. He reviews each patient’s medical and family history, asks questions, listens intently, orders lab tests, analyzes all the evidence, and then develops a personalized treatment plan involving various therapies. His approach to treatment is collaborative and integrative — emphasizing consultation with fellow Restoration Healthcare doctors, and the creation of targeted plans of care focusing on nutritional, herbal, and lifestyle medicine, but also using pharmaceuticals when needed.

Like all Restoration Healthcare doctors, Dr. Palladino specializes in the treatment of complex and chronic health conditions, including Lyme disease, Mast Cell Activation Syndrome, Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome, autoimmune disorders, and Environmentally Acquired Illnesses among others.

Born and raised in Syracuse, New York, Dr. Palladino had the good fortune to learn about nutrition and exercise from an early age from his parents, sparking his passion for practicing healthcare aimed at those living with chronic and complex conditions, and providing him with a unique ability to educate both patients and medical professionals on a wide range of integrative healthcare topics.

Dr. Palladino received his bachelor’s degree in 2003 from St. Lawrence University in Canton, N.Y., where he was a two-sport Division III athlete in lacrosse and football. In 2009, he studied pre-med at the Southern California University of Health Sciences in Whittier, Calif., and in 2016, he received his Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine degree from Bastyr University in San Diego, Calif. He completed his Naturopathic Medical Residency at the University of California Irvine (UCI) Susan Samueli Integrative Health Institute from 2016 to 2017, where, as a first-year resident, he was responsible for patient intake, comprehensive diagnostics and assessment, implementation of treatment strategies, and thorough management of patient care.

From 2017 until he joined the Restoration Healthcare team in late 2021, Dr. Palladino served as a Naturopathic Doctor (2017–2018) and Attending Naturopathic Doctor (2018–2021), where he grew his clinical practice across two locations; served on the residency committee; supervised medical residents and fellows; implemented various group medical visits; collaborated with UCI medical specialists on patient care; and participated in quarterly multidisciplinary case conferences, grand rounds, and resident case analysis.

Dr Palladino is a member of both the California Naturopathic Doctors Association and the American Association of Naturopathic Doctors. He was drawn to Restoration Healthcare by its collaborative, team-based approach; its emphasis on research-based, systems-based, whole-person care; and its mission to restore hope and optimize the body’s innate ability to heal from within through the compassionate delivery of functional medicine.

In his free time, Dr. Palladino loves traveling and exploring new places, hiking with his dog, spending time with his family and friends, reading, snowboarding, skiing, cooking, and learning anything new.
